Talon’s Point of the Day – Nov 7th, 2015 Be a proper tool

Just as God’s perfect love cannot be disassociated from his just wrath, our love for the lost must include the sharp edge of truth, cutting through the very decay that blinds the sinner to their disease of sin.

God truly is the surgeon of the heart, but unless we are willing to be the unpleasant sharp blade the patient will die. Transversely, no one ever engaged in precision surgery using a baseball bat. The same God who is the master surgeon is also the artisan who perfectly hones the blades he can use in his miracle surgeries, and he is the very autoclave necessary to make sure pathogens are not introduced. Unless we submit to the grinding of our dullness, and the heat of routine purification, we cannot be useful, and our purpose for being created is wasted.

Talon’s Point of the Day – Sept. 25th 2015 Eye Your Steps

What we allow our eyes to rest on reveals to both God and our enemy what is in our hearts. It will either be things that are holy and used by our loving Father or our enemy to guide our steps toward the will of who we allow to master us. It will either be used to strengthen our walk or to weaken it. We like to talk about watching where we step, but the reality is we step where we’re looking. So, the next time you stumble don’t question where your feet stepped. Instead, question where you were allowing your eyes to rest.

Talon’s Point – Sept 17th, 2015 The Revolutionaries

George Orwell once wrote “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” Our society is quickly devolving into a tyranny of political correctness where the definition of “correct” is defined by those with a rabid hatred for all that is holy and righteous.

Some in America and the Western World are already facing loss of careers and businesses, social ostracization, and even imprisonment for their refusal to reject God’s eternal Word for temporary ease.  They have become “revolutionaries” in the minds of those who think joining the collective rebellion against God is the social responsibility of every human.

The time when we will be forced to renounce our faith (commit to not actually adhering to what we believe) or suffer the harsh blows of society’s collectivist hammer is not coming. It’s here. Now it is merely a matter of escalation.

Will you conform to the mass collective of rebellionists against God, or will you be one of the few? The Revolutionaries.

Talon’s Point of the Day – Aug 30th, 2015 Don’t Jump! At Least No Yet

I’m sure it’s been said by many before me but when we jump to conclusions neither foot is planted on solid ground.

I’ve often been guilty so I speak from great experience, though I do try to be less and less guilty. Let’s take a little more time to be sure before we jump that we “know the truth” for the truth alone does not make us free, but the knowledge thereof. The foundation of the knowledge of truth is Christ himself.

“I am the way, the TRUTH (my emphasis), and the life….” – Jesus, The Christ

Talon’s Point of the Day – May 14th, 2015 Plant A Seed, Let God Make It A Tree

The Christian must stand for God’s truth without compromise or apology. Nevertheless, we cannot drive a grown tree into dry ground with force. We must plant seeds of truth and let God water them over time.
