Talon’s Point of the Day – Dec 15th, 2015 Gratitude In Rejection

When someone chooses to kick you out of their heart no amount of kicking will get you back in. As difficult as it seems, determine in yourself, despite your primary emotions, to be grateful to them that they didn’t wait another day to let you in on their secret that your love wasn’t wanted. It will greatly speed your healing and allow you to refocus on discovering God’s true plans for you. Plan’s that far exceed what you thought you were losing at the time.

Talon’s Point – Sept. 22nd, 2015 What’s Your Eternal Credit Score?

My eternal credit score is 316. It’s all I will ever need it to be.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16, NIV

I love this version from the Aramaic Bible translated to English

“For God loved the world in this way: so much that he would give up his Son, The Only One, so that everyone who trusts in him shall not be lost, but he shall have eternal life.”

“…trusts in him…” This translation clarifies the proper meaning of “believe.” This is not a belief that Jesus existed, like believing in dinosaurs, but a trust in Jesus for my eternal salvation and to meet my every daily need.

Talon’s Point of the Day – June 30th, 2015 God’s There, Just Keep Looking

While I often question details of my faith I don’t question God’s faithfulness (tempted as I may be in my weaknesses). There is certainly much I don’t know, but I know this one thing; With every storm I’ve seen His protective hand though at times it wasn’t until the rain passed and I could look back with dry eyes.

Keep praying and keep looking for God in every situation and eventually you’ll realize He was there all along.
