Response to Ted Cruz Fundraiser

While I really like what I’ve seen of Ted Cruz the reality is still that even he won’t seem to properly address Barack Obama’s brazen disregard for Constitutional limits to Executive power.

Today I received his latest fundraiser email. I responded….

Obamacare Now Has An Official Theme Song, Talon’s Point – Dec 3rd, 2013

“Now that some Democrats are admitting Obama lied but willing to make excuses for said lies, it has become time to establish an official Obamacare theme song. On that “note”, and since he will be stuck with the bill as a young person, I give you “Lie To Me” by the talented young Jonny Lang.” – Talon

Talon’s Point of the Day – Nov 29th, 2013

“America’s inner cities are an indictment of the failure of the Socialist experiment including already existing government healthcare programs. The insistence on subjugating the rest of America (through political conquest despite Constitutional guarantees  of personal liberty), under programs of control, like gun control, etc, that have existed for years in places like Detroit and Chicago, speaks directly to the true intent of those offering to ‘fundamentally change’ us. That intent is “transparent” to those willing to see” –  Talon

Talon’s Point – Nov 20th, 2013

“Obamacare will prove to be nothing more than a scheme for government to drain money from the population before cutting off its life support rather than a private market doing so. At least with the private market the recipient of services had some say in the exchange” – Talon

Talon’s Point of the Day – Nov. 18th, 2013

“Aside from what will be much publicized anecdotal cases, designed to be trotted out come election time, the only thing about the “Affordable” Care Act, aka Obamacare, that will really become “healthier” will be federal bureaucracy.” – Talon

Talon’s Point of the Day – Oct 30th, 2013

I know I usually keep my points short and easy to remember so they might actually reverberate in not only my own mind into the future but that of the reader. However, as we venture into tomorrow low unholy day for the ignorant who foolishly pay homage to Satan, I thought I’d leave you with a starting point if you choose to dig deeper.

We Americans, and especially those of us who see ourselves as American Christians love to sit in our dinghies and convince ourselves that the great ship of collective national faith is not going to sink despite the reality that the only thing left visible is the surfacing bubbles. Yet in reality we are long past the time of warning about the consequence on turning from God. We are watching the bubbles rise and a few are beginning to realize we now have entered that period where the majority of our remaining control involves what we can do to keep our own dinghy afloat (pardon the over use of the metaphor) while we drift at sea, praying for a breeze, and seeking out other survivors whom we can work together with to make it back to shore to rebuild.

In 1963 our beloved SCOTUS (sarcasm strongly intended), the same SCOTUS who 10 years later created the “Constitutional right” to kill an unborn child for convenience, the same SCOTUS who agreed to enslave us into the Social Security Ponzi scheme in 1935, the same SCOTUS who later enslaved us into the Obamacare tax scheme in 2012, and the same SCOTUS who once flipped the bird at blacks with the infamous 7-2 Dred Scott ruling in 1857, among a long history of other egregious usurpations of our truly beloved Constitution, removed the bible and prayer from our schools. Since then our societal ship has been sinking. Before ABINGTON SCHOOL DIST. v. SCHEMPP in 1963 our people were reliant on hard work and faith in their creator. Much has changed, and rarely for the better.

We’ve gone from a people who in general held a common moral, based on biblical principles, to a people who in general despise biblical morals. We once taught these bible based morals to our youth both at home, at church, and even at school. Now we rarely teach them at home, never at school, and only at church should we bother to attend (assuming we can find a church that actually adheres to the bible.) As a result, since 1963 our people have become “progressively” more dependent on government (by design) and less on work ethic and God, until now there are more citizens on government aid than who work to provide said aid. We’ve cast off moral constraints until our schools have become cesspools of deviancy with the expected results (exhibit A, exhibit B).

Much more could be provided to prove the case for the direct correlation between America’s rejection of biblical principles and her social decay but the denier would still deny and the believer already believes. So that brings us to my rarely long awaited point.

“Despite our willful ignorance God does actually reject people. He rejects those who reject Him and turns to those who turn to Him, including those who turn back to him.” – Talon

As we enter into this low unholy day of mocking God by praising the author of death let me remind you, and myself, of God’s rejection when we reject His Word but also his favor when we turn toward Him and His Word.

Finally listen to the wisdom of the Prophet Ezekiel from chapter 33:

12 “Therefore, son of man, say to your people, ‘If someone who is righteous disobeys, that person’s former righteousness will count for nothing. And if someone who is wicked repents, that person’s former wickedness will not bring condemnation. The righteous person who sins will not be allowed to live even though they were formerly righteous.’ 13 If I tell a righteous person that they will surely live, but then they trust in their righteousness and do evil, none of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered; they will die for the evil they have done. 14 And if I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but they then turn away from their sin and do what is just and right— 15 if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil—that person will surely live; they will not die. 16 None of the sins that person has committed will be remembered against them. They have done what is just and right; they will surely live.” – Ezekiel

There are a great many more promises to those who choose to follow in His wisdom, including those who turn from their past, than the link I provided. Search them out. It’s a journey worth taking that will never leave you stranded at sea.
