Talon’s Point of the Day – Nov 23rd, 2015 Dying For More Social Media

None of us will be laying in our death bed, and as we breath our last breaths, lament how we should have spent more time on social media. May we all spend more time with our Savior this morning.

Talon’s Point of the Day – Oct 12th 2015 Stop…Drop…and Pray

Every temptation to satisfy our fleshly desires is also an opportunity to honor our holy and loving Father. The challenge is to remind ourselves of this when the flames of desire are applying their intense heat. At that moment the best thing we can do, if I may borrow from the old public service announcement,  is “Stop…Drop…and Pray.”

Talon’s Point of the Day – Sept. 25th 2015 Eye Your Steps

What we allow our eyes to rest on reveals to both God and our enemy what is in our hearts. It will either be things that are holy and used by our loving Father or our enemy to guide our steps toward the will of who we allow to master us. It will either be used to strengthen our walk or to weaken it. We like to talk about watching where we step, but the reality is we step where we’re looking. So, the next time you stumble don’t question where your feet stepped. Instead, question where you were allowing your eyes to rest.

Talon’s Point of the Day – June 21st, 2015 Praying or Braying?

True prayer is when we come before God’s thrown in determined agreement with His will, pursuing the knowledge of said will including knowledge of how to carry out our part of His plan. Instead we too often waste God’s time arrogantly proclaiming our will to Him and expecting Him to figure out how to carry out His part in our plan. Today are we truly praying, or just braying like stubborn donkeys?
