Talon’s Point of the Day – Oct 20th, 2016 Sign of Love

If longing to be with someone until it hurts in our heart is a sign we love them then what does it say about us if we call ourselves Christians but do not long to be with our Savior?

Talon’s Point of the Day -Aug 28th, 2016 Scorched Earth

Just a reminder to all that think Jesus was all just about making sure you can have the warm fuzzies in life; the very Christ Jesus who willfully gave all of himself to set us free from sin and it’s eternal hellish consequence is the same Jesus who has a scorched earth policy.

The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

Don’t get caught in the firestorm.

Talon’s Point – July 27th, 2016 Hellish Trinkets

Take great care what you allow to become important to you. Material things can be so costly, well beyond financial, especially as the financial cost escalates. This world often fixates on the personal treasures left behind by those who have passed into eternity. People like Elizabeth Taylor, with the jewels she thought she owned, or J. Paul Getty, who thought he possessed so many historical items, purchased with his temporal material wealth, that said items literally filled a museum. Both clearly held these items as important to who they were. Yet, if they entered eternity without Christ, and there is sadly no evidence I know of that they didn’t, then the things they held so important were nothing more than hell’s traps.

On our own simple scale we can be just like the rich, placing improper importance on eternally useless things, keeping us focused not on our standing with God, but on what is ultimately hellish trinkets.

Talons Point of the Day – July 26th, 2016 Royalty of Rags

You may wonder why God has left you in poverty until the point where you have little left but rags for clothes. But just as rags and old clothes were used to lift Jeremiah from impending doom, your rags will be the very thing God uses to lift you from your poverty and place you in his royal courtyard. Your father in heaven is not ignoring you. He sees the decay of all that is not eternal. He’s using your rags to develop an unshakeable trust in him. So take a good look at yourself my friend, for God has entrusted you with the royalty of rags.

Talon’s Point of the Day – June 26th 2016 Currency of Tears

Sometimes the treasures we lay up in heaven can only be deposited in the currency of tears.

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” – Matthew 6:20

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” – Psalm 126:5

Dear Father in heaven,

Happy Father’s Day, as all days are your days. Thank you for sending your Son so that we could become your sons and daughters through Christ.

“And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”    2nd Corinthians 6:18

Talon’s Point of the Day -March 10th, 2016 Water or Marshmallows?

God set up boundaries of conduct for our own benefit. We disregard these boundaries, for which his benefits are contingent, to our own peril. This is true as an individual, a group, even a nation.

As a nation, let alone the world as a whole, we have dispelled with God’s boundaries and there is collective peril just outside our doorstep, all the while our house is burning. The only question that remains is “Who will you and I throw our lot in with when the voices call for burning sacrifices in the fires of our own destruction?” Will we offer the ever unwanted living water, or reach for the marshmallows?
