Talons Point of the Day – June 27th, 2015 Where Will You Stand?

In these ever more challenging times, when the government of nations are driving divisions between its citizens and breaking down cultures so as to redefine societies and their mores I offer you this reminder:

Every one of us will stand before a sovereign and holy God soon enough. Who we sided with will be in sharp focus of the One who sees all.

We are being forced to take a stand whether we want to or not. Silence itself is a stand to cede ground to evil. I chose to side with God in this life no matter the consequence of man. You can side with man if you chose, not wanting to offend him (or her), but when each of us stand before God we will stand alone. No man, no government will stand in our defense. We each will give account to who we sided with and why.

Talon’s Point of the Day – June 26th, 2015 What Happens When There Are No Rules That Apply To You?

John Robert TransLegislator

What happens when there are no rules that apply to you? You can justify your previous wrongs by simply becoming your own rule maker. Thank you Chief Justice John Robert! I’m sure we’ll all get to make our own rules now, right?

Talon’s Point of the Day – Jan 30th, 2015 “You’ve Seen One Communist, You’ve Seen Them All”

China, Russia (I know, they claim to no longer be communist) and other communist nations torture and murder their own citizens for believing in God and you think America and Europe’s power hungry communists, ie socialists, ie democrats wouldn’t secretly love to do the same?

Talon’s Point of the Day – Feb 20th, 2014

Talon’s point today is based on a series of related tweets from earlier today as follows:

” I’ve said it before and will again. Obama is NOT the problem…he’s the symptom.”

“The ignorance of soft tyranny has lead to the awareness of hard tyranny.  The GOP has helped make this happen.”

…. and to someone who thinks the solution is to simply vote GOP as if GOP wins have advanced liberty rather than the reality it has also attacked it….

“Sometimes you are better off with the tyrant you recognize rather than the one you don’t recognize.”

For several years now I’ve said that Obama may turn out to be the best thing that has happened to America both spiritually and politically in several generations. How can I such an astounding thing? Because before Obama, our once great nation was not only sliding into the spiritual and social abyss, we were doing so in our sleep. The rise of this developing tyrant has awakened the portion of America that is capable of consciousness. The other portion is of course suffering from a government sugar induced coma and won’t awake until they are dying from their coming real physical hunger.

Obama’s acts have driven the Godly, and many of the once Godly, to their Bibles and their knees. It has been the fulcrum that has wedged them out of their actual, and metaphorical, recliners and motivated them to reestablish or strengthen the faith they will need to stand through the coming storm. It has even awakened some who never gave God much thought but deep inside they knew spiritually there is no hope outside of the the Creator they previously disregarded. This storm will almost assuredly include open persecution of Christians, and to a lessor extent non conformist non-Christians who reject all intrusive government,  not just anecdotal cases of persecution but full scale legalized persecution both sanctioned by, and engaged in by all levels of government. I pray this is not true. But every sign tells me otherwise. Let me quickly say here that I am not opposed to government. Our founders were right that it is a necessary evil that is best limited but nevertheless needed. Yet it is most capable of acting honorably when it acts minimally.

Secondarily, as I have already eluded to, it has awakened non-Christians at a political level. People from all walks of life, even some “liberals” who now justifiably fear they will soon lose all remaining social liberties in exchange for a system that takes virtually all they have and returns to them over priced and poorly provided “services.” Services that do not compete with what the free market is capable of. They recall images of empty Soviet market shelves and instinctively know we are walking the same path that led to mass economic deprivation.

Neither of these two awakenings, in my opinion, would have occurred under under John McCain because it was not occurring under George W. Bush. I’m not attacking these men. I am however confidently contending that their big government views intentionally, or unintentionally, have, or would have in the case of McCain, allowed the exponential growth of a government that displaces God with itself. I further contend that had Romney been elected, we likely as a people would have returned to believing this threat was generally over. As such we would have gone back to sleep as the assault on our spiritual heritage and personal liberty would continue unabated, just slower. Not because of Romney per se, but because the structure that allows the assault would only have been tweaked, rather than reformed.

Talon’s Point of the Day – Feb 4th, 2014

I’ve said it before and will keep saying it as it’s a concept so difficult for people from all political and ideological bents to grasp…”When you empower government to enforce your beliefs on others, except for enforcing the protection of one’s liberties, you ultimately create and empower the very Beast (I capitalize with intent) that will later turn on and kill you for not submitting to it’s authority being granted by someone else. This includes Christian and atheist alike. That is why the only safe form of human government is that which protects individual liberty, including liberty that offends us but does not directly impact us. In so doing we protect the right of the religious to answer to God in accordance with his own conscience like the Prophet Daniel, without oppression, and the non-religious as well.  Other wise, what will eventually come, is a one world government of, by, and for a single man, where worship will be required of him and him alone.

This notion that fallen and sinful man can establish and enforce God’s laws was proven a fallacy by the nation of Israel. Even though God gave man the law he knew it would also only lead to death, thus His foretelling of our need of a Savior. Furthermore, despite claims by some Christians that it is the duty of believers to create a human government that enforces the principles of Christ is as foolish as thinking the Talmudic law was designed to save man rather than to reveal to man his need of a Savior. One cannot enforce the law of love on others. We do well to enforce it on our own deceitful hearts.

Now that does NOT mean we should NOT have laws based on God’s law. Indeed we should. If no one says “Do not murder”  how then can we provide consequence for murder. But when we say “you WILL give to your neighbor we seek to break the spiritual bond between God and the human heart, thus making God’s spirit of no import. This ironically is by definition a form of communism, theocratic or atheistic, satanic, and antichrist in nature.”

Chuckie Schumer calls for return of Sedtion Act

“NY Senator Charles “Chuckie” Schumer would have you ignorantly believe that speaking out against government is an act of sedition and in need of being beaten into submission by blunt IRS force as Schumer calls for the IRS to increase their assault on Tea Party organizations.

The reality of sedition is however just the opposite of Chuckie’s delusion. The right to gather with like minded Americans and speak out against our government is sacrosanct in our Constitution with few exceptions. In fact Thomas Jefferson went so far as to proffer the option of the people to outright dissolve this government and start over. How could we possibly do so if we aren’t free to unite, financially, publicly, and otherwise, to communicate our dissatisfaction with government?

Senator Chuckie has in essence called for a return of the Sedition Act through bureaucratic fiat. I would contend the actual act of sedition is often when politicians call for the destruction of constitutional rights of individuals to speak to the government corruption those same politicians benefit from, thereby altering the original design of our government and negating the validity of the Constitution itself. Schumer should be held accountable for his war on the Constitution through his attacks against citizens who exercise their rights, including being punished accordingly, not that he actually will.” – Talon

“Alexis de Tocqueville was correct. We’ve chosen to be equal in slavery rather than unequal in poverty, and the Washington elitists couldn’t be happier with our choice.” – Talon
