Talon’s Point – Feb.19th, 2016 Death Clothes

As Christians we have died with Christ (Romans 6:8) and have been buried with him(Romans 6:4). Returning to the sin he has freed us from is like shedding our pure white garments (Ephesians 5:7), digging up a dead man, our old man (Romans 6:6), stripping him of his rot and stench soaked clothes, and putting them on ourselves.

Leave your death clothes where they belong, on that old man.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. Romans 6:8

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:4

..and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:7

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Roman 6:6

Reposted. Thanks, Rev. Larry. Timed perfectly, after a recent vacillation on my part.

I remember Rev Larry from PAN. Wonder what’s up with him these days. I see Darla on twitter now and then but we don’t really communicate any more

Toss in your "two cents" if you care to. Fair warning, you might get change ;-)
