Talon’s Point of the Day – Sept. 25th 2015 Eye Your Steps

What we allow our eyes to rest on reveals to both God and our enemy what is in our hearts. It will either be things that are holy and used by our loving Father or our enemy to guide our steps toward the will of who we allow to master us. It will either be used to strengthen our walk or to weaken it. We like to talk about watching where we step, but the reality is we step where we’re looking. So, the next time you stumble don’t question where your feet stepped. Instead, question where you were allowing your eyes to rest.

Talon’s Point – Sept. 22nd, 2015 What’s Your Eternal Credit Score?

My eternal credit score is 316. It’s all I will ever need it to be.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16, NIV

I love this version from the Aramaic Bible translated to English

“For God loved the world in this way: so much that he would give up his Son, The Only One, so that everyone who trusts in him shall not be lost, but he shall have eternal life.”

“…trusts in him…” This translation clarifies the proper meaning of “believe.” This is not a belief that Jesus existed, like believing in dinosaurs, but a trust in Jesus for my eternal salvation and to meet my every daily need.

What is your eternal credit score?

“What do we do now?” – Video of the EPA-Created Gold King Mine/Animas River Spill

“Dam”ming evidence of EPA crimes

The Patriot Perspective

The EPA edited out the “what do we do now?” part.  Don’t want to broadcast exactly how incompetent you are.

If you watched all of those two videos, keep in mind that the EPA used threats of fines to get onto those properties in order to dump that contaminated water down rivers.  The mine owner told them no and fought them on it because the EPA had dumped contamination from other mines into water supplies.

The water inside the mines was contained.  There may have been some leaching, but there’s a big difference between a few ppm seeping out of a mine and several million gallons of toxic sludge sliding down into surface waterways.  Contained water also would make for something easy to access and easy to clean up – it’s in one place.  To make it crazy simple: they could’ve found the highest accessible point on the mine (or…

Just For Fun – That’s how I “Roll”

Free Toilet Paper 3

As you know if you have perused my humble site, most of my posts have very serious tones of both temporal and eternal importance, mostly eternal the last couple years. But occasionally I like to post something random just for fun, or “JFF” if it’s added to the drop down menu above.

As my friends and family know I spend time on twitter, sometime too much time if I’m not careful, posting or interacting on the same two things, temporal (usually political) and eternal. On twitter I continue to post more on political themes as social media all too often devolves into conflict and I try to not have conflict with my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially in that setting.

Occasionally I’ll see something that’s just plain funny. Yesterday a young gal “followed” me as the term goes. Any time someone follows me I check out their recent posts, called a “timeline” or “TL” on twitter to determine if I will follow back. The reason for this (if you aren’t Twitter savvy) is that following someone will result in their posts showing up on your TL (or page if you will). So in the process of determining what kind of “tweets” (as they call it on Twitter) will show up on my TL if I follow this gal I came across a tweet she posted as follows:

Of course a tweet like this begged a response

Free Toilet Paper 2

Ok ok it was utterly silly of me but hey, that’s how I “roll.”

Talon’s Point – Sept 17th, 2015 The Revolutionaries

George Orwell once wrote “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” Our society is quickly devolving into a tyranny of political correctness where the definition of “correct” is defined by those with a rabid hatred for all that is holy and righteous.

Some in America and the Western World are already facing loss of careers and businesses, social ostracization, and even imprisonment for their refusal to reject God’s eternal Word for temporary ease.  They have become “revolutionaries” in the minds of those who think joining the collective rebellion against God is the social responsibility of every human.

The time when we will be forced to renounce our faith (commit to not actually adhering to what we believe) or suffer the harsh blows of society’s collectivist hammer is not coming. It’s here. Now it is merely a matter of escalation.

Will you conform to the mass collective of rebellionists against God, or will you be one of the few? The Revolutionaries.

Talon’s Point of the Day – Sept 15th, 2015 – Dear Planned Parenthood, Please Don’t Send These Piggies To Market

Of course the jaded leftist will say this is ridiculous because the child in this pic has already been born, as if being born is some sort of right of passage to be included into this collective of personhood. Such a view is evidence of a conscience that, as the Apostle Paul put it, has “been seared with a hot iron.”

Talon’s Point – Sept 10th, 2015 Your Life Doesn’t Matter

Edgy tag line aside I have probably said this before but I sense for one of my fellow bloggers or readers that it needs to be said again.

Life ultimately is not about having a happy experience. It’s not about being able to look back with pride in what we accomplished. As much as they are wonderful, important, and gifts from God, it’s not even about the friendships we developed or family we did our best to raise. Life is singularly about what we did to bring glory to our maker. Often that glory shines brightest only while we are suffering injustice just as our Savior did, and from those we love most. Confess then forget that you have failed him. We all have. That’s what makes His love and faithfulness to us so perfect and amazing.

Remember this if you have lost everything and are broken, with nothing remaining but your shaken faith; You have riches beyond imagination and your life is NOT a failure, for against all the fury the enemy has unleashed against you, you have managed to keep hold of the only thing that matters, your trust in your eternal beloved.
