Spiritual Maturity’s litmus test

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” – Hebrews 5:14, NIV

Another translation, NKJV, puts it this way, “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (the author is NOT, in my opinion, speaking of physical age here, but of invested time)

Though I’m tempted to expound I sense that I should just post this verse as is, with no commentary, and pray the Holy Spirit speaks to the heart of the reader, even myself.

(Site notes: Talon’s Point of the Day is a concise thought that is intended to be easily read but not quickly dismissed. If the point seems obvious it probably has more meaning than perceived.
