I’ve argued that Obama’s not a socialist.

I wasn’t trying to defend him. I was simply making the point that it’s technically more accurate to refer to him as a statist or a corporatist.

But he may be even worse than that, at least according to a must-read Kevin Williamson analysis of Obama for National Review.

He starts with how Obama seems to be a run-of-the-mill leftist.

Obama has been called many things — radical, socialist — labels that may have him dead to rights at the phylum level but not down at his genus or species. His social circle includes an alarming number of authentic radicals, but the president’s politics are utterly conventional managerial liberalism.

Conservatives: Watch out for cloaked child porn email scam directed at entrapping you

This is absolutely a must read if you are active in the Conservative movement.

An earlier report by the Examiner noted that Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and a close associate, Dan Johnson, had been the victims of an attempt to frame them with child porn.

In the days since the story broke concerning the hacking scheme, Oath Keepers is reporting that the anonymous hackers have attempted to frame other conservative and liberty activists with child porn. The group issued a warning to its members concerning the malicious scheme.

Hackers had used Rhodes’ name to send an email to Johnson that contained a cloaked link to a child porn site by using the name of a legitimate site. Johnson happened to notice that the program on his computer that identifies the websites to which attachments are linked without the recipient having to click on the link itself showed that the link was bogus. Thus, Johnson did not click on the file.
