Tweet The Tyrant

I’ve started a twitter hashtag #TweetTheTyrant for twitter fans who want to add their opinion of Obamacare to their responses to the White House’s twitter psycho-warfare leading up to the SCOTUS review using hashtag and line…”#ILikeObamacare because…”

Here are the ones I have posted so far:

“Americans r so enamored of equality they’d rather be = in slavery than unequal in freedom” Tocqueville

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamaCare, because “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” -Churchill

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamaCare because the purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people. – Bill Clinton

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamaCare because the people never give up their liberties, but under some delusion. – Edmund Burke

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamacare because “Every step to make the State our Caretake, we move toward making the State our Master.” Eisenhower

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamaCare because “The greatest calamity would be submission to a government of unlimited powers.” Thomas Jefferson

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamacare because “If a nation expects to be ignorant and expects what never was and never will be.” Jefferson

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamaCare because liberty is too slow a fruit. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamacare because “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.” John Adams

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamacare because “Man will ultimately be governed by God or by tyrants.” – Benjamin Franklin

#TweetTheTyrant #ILikeObamaCare because “The greatest calamity would be submission to a government of unlimited powers.” Thomas Jefferson

#TweetTheTyrant Yo Dawg, #ILikeObamaCare, because death panels are like being on American Idol WOOT!!!

Because we have bean counters rather then doctors managing healthcare in our nation?

Because more then 60% of american bankruptcies are due to healthcare costs?

I respectfully doubt your 60% stat though you are welcome to provide a legitimate source, and even if it were 99% (since its a popular number of late) it would not change the fact that liberty trumps.

The government that has the power to do anything for you has the power to do anything to you, and eventually will.

Liberty is the liberty to fail, even if it’s 99% of the time.

American Journal of Medicine stat is not a scientific study. It sources bankruptcy data that is tied solely to response if bankruptcy filers. It is good for establishing contributing factors but nothing more. The cases used to create the report (no doubt created for some lobby purpose) were not broken down to factor out issues such as loss of employment, death of wage earner, divorce, addiction, let alone looked into spending habits which are often poor among bankruptcy filers.

As one who has some experience in industrial forensics I know a few of the tricks used to create a narrative. Look beyond the headline for the truth.

Beyond that you have failed to respond to my point that the government that has the power to do anything for you has the power to do anything to you and will. Are you sure you want to trust government with complete power over you? If they have the right to force you to purchase healthcare they can force you to do anything….for the greater good of course 😉

As far as your silly comment about liberty to screw others let me say two things.

        1) Disagreement is welcome here but not foolishness or assault. If you have an argument make it but do so reasonably or you will be unwelcome. I say foolish because;

        2) Liberty is not a right to harm others. By definition liberty is self restraining as it cannot usurp the liberty of another (simple logic)

Chosing the price you will charge for your product or service is not “Screwing” anyone. They have a right to take their business elsewhere in a true free market. Of course before Obamacare the government had already injected itself into about half of many aspects of healthcare thus reducing competition and raising the very costs you complain about.

Hope you enjoy your death panels. Every nation that has enacted universal healthcare did so under the claim of saving everyone money and in every instance death panels become the inevitable tool for controlling “unexpected” costs.

How clever it is to use one’s diet as a mnemonic device for a screen name!
I might change mine to “meatandvegetables” or something similar.

Can I be “Coffee, pasta, and whole grain cereal but not at the same time?” Then again, just call me garlic, its the fifth food group in my house.

Toss in your "two cents" if you care to. Fair warning, you might get change ;-)
