If we commit to the unborn, it implies a commitment after birth until adulthood and actually beyond. Every live birth needs good health, a good education and the possibility of a good-paying job that leads to a fulfilling life. Being pro-life doesn’t stop at birth.

      Thanks for the thoughtful input.

While all of those things are honorable and worthy of society’s mutual pursuit, it does not mean society is responsible for outcome at any cost. We are promised our unalienable right to life, liberty, and the PURSUIT (ie unobstructed ability to pursue) of happiness. The right to be born is essential to the right to life. Health is not a guarantee nor can it reasonably be though access to basic care must be, as was already the case before ObamaCare. The right to an education is universally assumed by most and has long been provided, but the opportunity is often wasted by recipients to their own loss. That right should in no ways extends to a right to higher education to be provided at tax payer expense.

I agree. The government is obligated to protect our right to life. But the child’s parents (not government or the taxpayers) are obligated to provide for all of the child’s needs, including medical attention and education.

It has to make you wonder at their mindset doesn’t it?

Toss in your "two cents" if you care to. Fair warning, you might get change ;-)
